There are many ways to take good care of your vibration and you’ve probably tried lots of them. But have you tried Saying Nice Things to Yourself?
Most of us have developed habits of critical, disempowering self-talk. These negative thoughts can seem so normal you may not even notice. So the first step is to become aware of what you’re saying to yourself.
When you start paying attention to your inner dialogue, you might be shocked at how unkind you can be to yourself – especially when you remember that what you say to yourself is shaping your reality.
Because positive self-talk is so important for maintaining a high vibration, I began years ago keeping a list of accolades – the compliments, appreciation, kind words I receive from others, which I then reflect back to myself.
For example, when someone recently told me I’m an inspiration, I turned it into positive self-talk by saying with feeling, “I AM an inspiration.”
Happily, it’s not necessary to wait for someone else to say something kind to you. You can go ahead and imagine the positive feedback by asking yourself – “What would I like to hear someone say to me today?” Feeling the love in advance primes the pump for more.
I’m also a big fan of Louise Hay’s mirror work. Lulu suggests looking into a mirror, saying your name followed by “I love and accept you exactly as you are.” This is a self-love habit worth cultivating.
Research from Joe Dispenza and others now proves that saying nice things to your body can improve your health, speed recovery, reduce pain and amp up physical performance.
The trick is to become aware of your negative self-talk [without judgment], take a pause to notice it doesn’t feel good, then replace it with thoughts that feel better, such as:
*Yes, I CAN
*I AM good enough
*Everything IS working out for me
Talking to yourself the way you would talk to someone you cherish is a powerful vibe-lifter guaranteed to improve your life in every way.
