It was probably two decades ago when I first heard Mike Dooley declare, “Good thing I’m rich!” He had been shocked by some large expense and, even though he couldn’t honestly be described as rich at that point, he was wise enough to claim it in advance.
This year, as I have experienced several large, didn’t-see-that-coming expenditures, I am inspired to claim a wealthier financial condition.
My vibrational heritage from childhood was to be super careful with money, to believe that every expense meant a net loss. To believe that money coming in was good and money going out was bad.
But that’s like saying inhaling is good and exhaling is bad. Obviously, both are essential.
It turns out that scrimping and belt tightening send the wrong vibrational message to the Universe. Being overly frugal expresses a belief that money is a scarce resource which instructs the Universe to hold off on the big bucks. If I believe money is scare, that will be my reality.
I much prefer to believe, as Abraham says, “the world is awash in money.” I like believing and thus creating the reality that huge waves of riches are continually washing over me.
It’s my choice. I can choose to believe that expenditures mean a net loss. But I can just as easily believe they mean, “Yippee more is coming! This outflow creates an opening for more abundance!” That feels so much better.
As I confidently feel more abundance surging my way, refilling and overflowing my accounts, that becomes my experience because the Universe will, indeed must, reflect my deeply felt expectations.
As I practice the feeling of having abundance now, choosing to welcome in the abundance that is my birthright, I’m imagining it into being.
We’re all different so abundance means the level of prosperity that makes you feel free and filled with ease and confidence.
Abundance is available to anyone willing to persist in assuming the consciousness of wealth, anyone who dares to believe, dares to see it, feel it, claim it, be it.
Abundance is available to anyone willing to confidently know and feel and declare, “Good thing I’m rich!”
And so it is . . .
