Watering the Weeds

Even non-gardeners know – if you water weeds, you’ll get more weeds.

As conscious creators, we’re the master gardeners of our minds and environments.  We know good feeling thoughts are the seeds that grow into happiness, health, and prosperity of all kinds.

We’ve also proven that seeds of fear, doubt and lack yield a harvest that matches those low vibrations.

How to know if you’re watering the weeds?
*You don’t feel good – always the first clue.
*Your circumstances are less than fabulous – the second clue.
*You worry and dwell on worst-case scenarios – fertilizer for the weeds to grow bigger and stronger.

Why do we water weeds instead of flowers?
*Habit.  Somewhere along the way, we got in the habit of focusing on what we don’t want until it seemed normal.
*Negativity Bias.  As we humans evolved, being alert for danger and threats literally helped us survive, so looking for problems became hardwired.
*Social Conditioning.  Believing we should pay attention to bad news because that’s what everyone else is doing.

If your garden is currently a weed habitat, what to do?
*Notice how you feel.  Watering the weeds cannot bring joy.
*Refuse to entertain thoughts and feelings that lower your vibration.
*Plant uplifting seeds in the fertile garden of your mind and water them daily.

The good news?  Once you stop watering the weeds of negativity with your energy and attention, the flowers of joy will take over because joy is your natural state.

And remember – even if everyone else is watering their weeds, you can choose to grow flowers instead.  Then, who knows, you might inspire others to cultivate their own gardens of happiness.

Wouldn’t that be nice!
