My previous blog post focused on mastering the ability to raise our vibration – particularly valuable if we’re feeling down for some reason or when something unwanted happens.
That skill was indeed essential recently as I said goodbye to Mia Bubeleh Corbin, my furry canine companion of almost 14 years.
Following her diagnosis of kidney failure, I kept asking for inner guidance to know what to do and when to do it. I also asked Mia what she wanted and her response was that she just wanted to be happy. It soon became clear that being happy in her physical body was no longer an option.
In addition to asking for inner guidance, I searched for Abraham clips about the loss of a pet. The most helpful thing I found was the reminder that it’s really, really good in the nonphysical realm. In other words, she will be happy there and she’s not having a good time here.
I also did my best to:
*make peace with what-is
*avoid pushing against this unwanted thing
*summon up inner strength
*keep my vibration as high as possible even under these conditions
These are skills I want to excel at anyway and this presented a perfect opportunity to practice them.
Now that my sweet Westie is romping joyfully in the nonphysical, I appreciate that I can cry and do EFT [Emotional Freedom Technique] when the sadness bursts forth and I need to feel it and release it.
Because I am confident that we live in a Universe of Unconditional Love and Absolute Well-Being, I know my mantra for this year – Everything Goes My Way – remains true. Therefore, even Mia’s transition must be – in ways I can’t see right now – another way in which everything is going my way.
When my vibration is high enough, I know there are gifts for me here, meaning something wonderful will come as a result of this difficult experience.
When my vibration is high enough, I trust that everything is going my way even when it doesn’t appear that way.
When my vibration is high enough, I can focus on finding the gifts, thus calling them forth. And I can affirm that everything is going my way, thus making it so.
If you have a cherished pet, please hold them tight and slip them some extra treats from me!
