What’s your definition of a miracle?
Is a miracle a highly improbable even impossible event, the kind of thing that might have happened in the past but not anymore, decidedly too good to be true?
Or are miracles, as Pam Grout describes them in The Course in Miracles Experiment, natural everyday occurrences happening all around us all the time and the only reason we’re not experiencing them one after another is because we were led to believe they don’t exist?
I prefer Pam’s definition. I prefer to look for miracles, to let go of limiting beliefs [life sucks, money is hard to come by, relationships are difficult, sickness and suffering are inevitable] and embrace the idea that miracles abound and, as Pam says, the Universe’s sole purpose is to dish up our good.
What if the only reason we’re not experiencing daily miracles is because we were taught to not even look for them?
What if EVERYTHING is possible? [And it is, once we decide it is.]
What if miracles are a choice? Ooh, I like that.
If we are willing to suspend disbelief and start looking for miracles, they will appear. If we decide to believe that miracles are our birthright and begin to expect them, they have no choice but to show up for us.
We experience what we believe so why not decide to believe our most outrageous desires, AKA miracles, are possible? Why not decide to manifest miracles one after another?
When I think of the sad, scared, disappointed child I was, who for much of my life didn’t even want to be here, it is miraculous that I am now, almost always, filled with joy and appreciation for my wonderful life.
I live in my favorite place on the planet. I start each day at the beach with my human and canine friends. I do the most fulfilling “work” I’ve ever done [LOA Coaching and Reiki], I’m happy and healthy, and I’m aligned with my Inner Being for moment-to-moment guidance. I’d call that miraculous!
It comes down to this. If we believe in and expect miracles, we will experience miracles. If we don’t, we won’t.
“There are only two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
– Einstein
So what say you? Miracles – yea or nay?
